Who remembers Mini Moos?! These were all the range to trade at one time. Quite a challenge to create as they measure just 3 x 7 cm. Not many stamps are that small so you just have to get creative in how you use them. And I am all for cutting stamped images in half ;-)
I actually use the real mini moos - I get them printed with my art work, and they are exactly half of a business card in size. I always have them on display at retail shows etc, and it turns out that some people collect these lol!
And just for size reference ...
I enjoy the challenge of adding detail and layers on such a small scale and there are quite a few layers here. So, in order ... :
1 Gel print cut to 3x7cm
2 Scraps of Washi tape and vintage ledger
3 DuraLar Wet Media overlay with alcohol ink
4 Sponged acrylic paint through a stencil onto overlay
5 Stamp along lower edge of overlay (StazOn)
6 While pen doodles
7 Stickles Glitter
8 Image - cut in half, coloured with watercolour
9 Typed quote
10 Stamped no.1 and no.2 onto overlay
10 Stitch randomly around edge
11 Mount onto Kraft cardstock, add eyelet and wire
And just because .... here is one of my hand-made palettes and mini water pots in use :-)
Thanks to everyone who has purchased these from me so far, and for your lovely feedback on Etsy. More of these in the kiln as I type so watch this space .... ;-)
Just fabulous
