Things with wings and more wings.

Spread your Wings by Ana Bondu

You can't have enough wings. Not in my world anyway. Things with Wings is one of the new stamps I designed for Carballe Studios, and although she's got wings I thought she needed more so I stamped the butterfly by Ana Bondu onto Dura-Lar wet Media film using Staz-On ink (that's important - some inks will smudge), and doubled up on the wings. Oh yes, I think we could all do with a few butterfly wings ;-)

I've been building a little journal of print techniques and this is one of the pages inside. It's a second pull from a messy plaid technique. I stamped my *new* Round and Around background stamp to create the circles.

Here she is peeking out from the inside pages LOL!

And a close-up .... I've been drawing quirky little characters like this forever it seems.

I often get asked what I use to colour in images and to be truthful it varies quite a lot. But today I coloured with my good ol' Distress Inks, because they are super easy to get a quick water-colour effect, and I love the colours.
