It's that time again! Yes, another *free* tutorial video by me, for Gel press. This time I created a really simple faux watercolour technique using acrylic paints.
Part 2 follows in a few days.
And don't forget, if you want to see any of my previous Gel press videos they are all together on one page *here* (tab at top of page.
Byeee for now....
Gorgeous. Thanks for the link Kate xx
ReplyDeleteBeautifull ❤️❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteWow! Love these!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteI like these a lot! Thanks for making the video! <3 <3 <3
ReplyDeleteLove you video, is the bumblebee a stamp and die cut? Where did you get it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your question Kari. The bee is by Jo Capper Sandon for Stampotique Originals and I cut it out by hand. Full details will be on the second video which is released on Saturday so look out for that. I'll be adding it a link to it here on my blog, or you can access it on the Gel Press page on facebook or directly on you tube. Hope that helps!
DeleteLoved the video Kate, you really do make the most wonderful backgrounds! Looking forward to Part 2! x
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous. X
ReplyDeleteDid I miss it in the video but what paper are you using? I would think watercolor but it looked more pliable when you started putting extra layers on it. Love the technique!
ReplyDeleteSusan - I used cartridge paper. I haven't tried with watercolour paper but I think you would get some nice results with watercolour paper.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous as always!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like I’ll be making room on my table for my gel plates again very soon-these are gorgeous! Is there much difference between the deco art fluid paints and Golden fluid paints? I don’t own any deco art (yet)
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, Sorry but blogger won't let me reply directly to your comment grrr! Golden and DecoArt fluids are very similar in that they are both highly pigmented so you should get very similar results.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this technique. Thank you so much! I will be trying this one for certain because this look suits me to a "T" Love. Love!
ReplyDeleteYour work is beautiful. Can you tell me what stencil you used with the flower edge? Thanks
ReplyDeleteIt's a stencil by Dylusions (for Ranger) : https://www.afth.co.uk/dylusions---stencils---dotted-flowers---9x12-7113-p.asp
ReplyDeleteIt’s 2023 and I’ve just been gifted some craft things including a gel plate!! I love these technique and the look. Will be doing this tomorrow. Couldn’t see the next video though sadly.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, all the gel press videos are listed under the gel press tab at the top of my blog, or look for the gel press channel on you tube where you will be able to find them all. Thanks :-)
