Miniature loveliness :-)

Ohh I love a good mini book, don't you? A while ago when I managed to get hold of the Eileen Hull Journal Die for Sizzix (*love*), I also ordered the needle book die because I could see its potential as a mini book. Just look how small and cute it is!

Here are a few pics of the early stages ...

I tried out the new DecoArt medium body paints (*another love*).

The house on the front cover is from the Whimsical House Set 1 by Tando Creative. I gave it a layer of black, then applied the DecoArt one-step crackle, and finally a layer of DecoArt Antiquing Cream to enhance the cracks.

I distressed some pages to create the inner pages, and added a funky ceramic button I found in a little art gallery. I might give this to my Mum at Christmas, but I'm not sure if I can part with it (sorry Mum).

So, to compare the size of this little book to the Travellers' notebook site, here they are side by side:

  2. How adorable is that button? The colours are my favourite combo too. I'm putting the house on my "buy" list & die on "when pennies allow" list. Lol. Great job, Kate, don't blame you for wanting to keep!😉
