Journal lettering.

Newton by Daniel Torrente
Design Cube 2 by France Papillon

I just LOVE teaching my regular art journaling class at Art from the Heart. It is a class of regular art journalers who are all striving to improve and increase their skills base - me included! Every time they challenge me with new things they would like to learn which sometimes pushes me out of my comfort zone, but also forces me to try new things.

This time it was lettering on journal pages, not something I have done a lot of in the past, but I really enjoyed doing once I got going. I really don't think I am the world's greatest at lettering but it's always good to try something different. And I chose a very appropriate quote!

A great way to practise new skills in your art journal is to divide your page into smaller sections, it's much less intimidating this way. So this is how we started and practised our lettering:

I used the newly released Newton by Stampotique. He's great isn't he? In a kooky, ugly kind of a way ha! And he's BIG ... great for larger journal pages.

Don't forget to check out all of the fabulous latest releases by Stampotique *here*.

And if you haven't already done so, check out this fabulous new on-line class for 2016. I'll be teaching here!

Byee for now!
