Playing with paints ..

I've had such a fun afternoon playing with paints and pastels on old book pages. I have been taking an on-line class with Mindy Lacefield, which is fabulous and is really pushing me to try different ways of doing thing and I'm loving it!

These are not finished pages ... not at all .... but works-in-progress which will end up somewhere in my journal at some point ....

My hand-carved stamps made an appearance:

Definitely going to keep carving these!

And now, I'm going to batten down the hatches and wait for the snow to arrive which has been predicted for the whole of the UK. It has been unusually cold and frosty in recent days ... look! Even my hair froze!

I can feel a spot of sledging coming on woohoo!! Byee for now ...

  7. OH NO Sledging....thats a word we don't use in our house.
Three years ago at Christmas our Son (then 18), went out and ended up in hospital with a double break to his collar bone and suspected kidney and lung punctures (all due to Sledging, well coming off it anyway, he said a passer by said I saw a man fly!!)
    HaHA
Anyways back to your gorgeous frosty hair and beautiful new pages, would love to see them once you have finished them they are lovely. Debbiex

  16. Love your pages, as usual. I guess sledging must be what we in the US call sledding? My niece lives and works in London (by way of east Tennessee) and will be excited about snow I'm guessing. Here in Tennessee we had a little snow the day after Christmas, and an ice storm earlier this week, and maybe we might get a snow with some inches to it before the end of February (although I would be very happy not to!).
